Como ya lo he comentado antes, se encuentra en trámite en el Congreso Nacional de Chile un proyecto de ley que moderniza el derecho de autor. En particular, se agregan ciertas limitaciones, que pretenden impedir que el titular de derecho de autor pueda abusar de sus atribuciones. También se agregan excepciones, en las cuales el titular del derecho de autor no puede impedir ciertos usos.
Obviamente este tema genera un impacto fuerte, y hay discusiones de diversa índole (algunas, relacionadas con tecnología, las he tratado en los artículos citados en el párrafo anterior). En particular, muchos solicitan un "trato justo" para ciertos autores y no quieren que se concreten ciertas reformas. Y como exigir un trato justo es lo correcto, se ha lanzado la campaña "Trato justo para todos" (no sólo para algunos), que incorpora no sólo a los autores, sino a bibliotecarios, editores, bloggers, niños, y en definitiva al público en general a también tener un trato justo, que es justamente lo que pretende la reforma propuesta por el gobierno.
